About Adhara
"Adhara" comes from Sanskrit — it means foundation, support, the ground that holds everything up. (In astronomy, it's also one of the brightest stars in Canis Major — a guiding light.) Both meanings drive how we build, but the foundation always comes first.
What this really is
Adhara is the foundation that helps you step into your purpose, get your knowledge and wisdom out into the world, and actually grow — more leads, more clients, more impact. A business that supports you whether you're working or not.
Patrick Farrell
Founder, Adhara
The founder's story
Ten years ago, Patrick Farrell quit his job in New York City and set out to travel the world. He wanted freedom — a life lived on his own terms, not someone else's schedule.
Over time, he started to figure it out. He built work that could travel with him. But he kept running into the same wall: he never had a strong foundation to support the business he was building.
When he went to personal development events. When he spent weeks in yoga teacher training. When he stepped away to live his life — his business couldn't run without him. The systems simply weren't there.
"A business that depends on you being present isn't freedom. It's a job you can't quit."
Adhara is the answer to that problem — the foundation Patrick wished he'd had. A system that supports you whether you're working or not, so you can step away, live your life, and come back to a business that kept running.
Because building a business shouldn't cost you the very freedom you started it for. It should amplify your impact, help you go after your dreams, and let you build something that lasts.

The name
In Sanskrit, ādhāra means foundation — the supporting structure that holds everything up. It's the ground beneath the building, the root beneath the tree, the base that everything else depends on.
That's what we set out to be. And while Adhara is also a bright star in the night sky — a guiding light when you're navigating in the dark — the foundation always comes first. Build on solid ground, and the light will find you.
